Longboard Girls Crew Greece annual event just took place and the team is stoked!
LGC Greece is a small team of girls and women who have fun riding, aiming to inspire other Greek girls to join. They organise these events to catch the attention of local women and show them how easy it is to try and join the crew. Check out the words by our LGC Greek Ambassador & organiser Maria Eleftheriadou!
The Street Mode Festival Thessaloniki is one of the biggest of its kind in Greece and we managed to have a longboard space to do demos and invite people to try longboard and skateboarding. Over 10.000 people per day attended the festival and that gave us the chance to meet and introduce longboarding to a lot of girls (and boys), showing them how fun and easy it is.. even as transportation through the city!
Lots of friends came from all over Greece and even a longboard team from Athens who gave free dance lessons to the girls.
We spend three unforgettable days riding, sharing tips and lessons, giving stickers and hopefully inspiring other girls!
Our goal is to become someday a big and strong team of girls and boys. Our aim is to claim a longboard area in our city and to re–pave the road on our coast so we can use it with our longboards, skates, in lines and bicycles.
Thank you all for being there! Until next time!

Join us next time if you’re around!

Toronto Girls Longboarding’s 6th annual FUBU was a huge success last weekend! The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and the stoke was high for newcomers and old friends alike.
On Saturday our ladies took a social cruise exploring downtown Toronto’s waterfront, followed by a classy dinner and an afterparty. Sunday was full of games and fun with a slalom, a time trial, a push race and a dance contest in one of Toronto’s downtown parks. Everybody who came out had a blast, including a slew of our favourite guys dressed up as their female alter egos! We were even lucky enough to meet one of our participants’ (Morrah) newborn Kamryn. We made a lot of new friends, and are so stoked to spend the rest of the season shredding with the other ladies we’ve met!
Nothing brings the TGL community together quite like FUBU. Thank you everyone!
We love this event and what it stands for! You can check out previous FUBU events HERE and you can see more photos of this year’s event on Skate Invaders’ Facebook page. Thank you ladies, we keep killing it together with love, support for one another and mutual respect.
